One has to ask why the RAN needs grey disruptive pattern uniforms on ships when one considers why disruptive pattern uniforms were introduced into armies? That is to provide camouflage when fighting in vegetation.

Default cheap photoshoot?

Is that a paperclip on her left trouserleg near the boot in the first picture?
I know fashion photographers use them a lot to better mould clothes out of sight, but couldn't the RAN afford a better photographer?

Doesn't the (reflective?) white band in the elbows negate the use of camouflage material?

Rgds,

I think you'll find that's elastic to blouse the trousers around the boot.

Because they can? :-)

I'll ask around and see why they went with this uniform.
