Royal Wessex Yeomanry (RWY)
Taken from the RWY Association FB Page at their Devizes Parade last Sunday.
The Axe looks like Pre 1960 pattern size as worn by the Household Division. Is this normal on Number 2's. |

No and neither are the Cpls stripes with a crown above in any one other than thr HCR - the Yeomanry do love their dressing up. The Pof W feather arm badge suggests that they the Wiltshire Yeomanry Sqn: who did not have any Household Division antecedents to my knowledge.

Are their forage caps as per 4th/7th RDG / RDG (other than the badge and buttons)?

It was 2 squadrons of the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry (Royal Wessex Yeomary) on parade at the weekend.
Quite why they ever agreed to reducung the size of the trade badges eludes me. The Household Division quite rightly said they looked silly and refused to accept them at the time. |

The old pattern looked far better - the colours, not just the size of the badges.
