Wink London Scottish title marked Narborough

Hi all,

Picked up this London Scottish shoulder title (Westlake 1528) makers marked F Narborough Birmingham (that is double struck) with lugs removed. Know London Scottish descibed as having this title from 1915 in Westlake and 1917 in a Forum thread. The F Narborough mark registered as a an assay mark in 1898.

First time I have seen this mark on a shoulder title.

Thought would share, cheers Dean.

I've posted one of these before but I don't think it made itto the makers marks page. Regards, Paul.

Thought I'd add a bit to this old thread.
Just received this London Scottish title made by F.Narborough Birmingham.
To my surprise it has, what I used to think of as "Canadian style lugs" often found on some of our Scottish badges i.e Argyll's & Seaforth Highlanders etc.
Makes me wonder if Narborough may well have produced these
Scottish badges? Please see pics.
Regards
Colin

These are quite common, they must have made others but I've yet to see any marked ones. Aside from the odd Gaunt one in my collection, the only other marked title I have is a 23rd London by Starr of Putney.
