A stab in the dark from me knowing not a great deal in relation to this particular badge.

From what I can see, I would say good. It appears to have a clear well defined strike both front and rear and I do like the darkened lugs, (but are they in the correct positions).

I've no doubt others with a greater knowledge of this item will give a definite answer and either agree or put me right.

Regards.

Brian

Hello Jean-Marie,
Thanks for showing your badge. I am intrigued by the shape, sideways on.

thank you John and Brian;
It's not my badge. The shape of the badge is correct but the photo was certainly taken with a wide angle. And I can't fix it.

Hi Colin,
My father spent 1939-42 1st Buffs 1942-45 2nd Buffs.
Steady the Buffs was his favourite saying.

There was, apparently a WWI variation "Steady The Buffs and let The Guards withdraw to a position of safety in the rear".

I would imagine it was a risky thing to say within earshot of a Guardsman.

Hi Ron,
Still a common phrase used in Kent to this day!
Regards
Colin
