Default Airborne Forces patch

I have just acquired this patch, which I assume is the black on olive green subdued version of the Airborne Forces patch. Am I correct in my assumption or is this/ was this, worn by one unit? If so, who wears or wore it, please?

It's worn by 16th Air Assault Brigade. All Brigade units wear it.

It is the odd coloured badge mistakenly used by some units of 5th Airborne Brigade 1993-1999. Frequently turns up on dealers tables etc.

The current 16th Air Assault Brigade is a modern woven version of the WW2 and post design.

Thanks for the information, Marc. I will label it as per your information. It does indeed look an unusual background colour.
