Hi all, sorry if this is in the wrong place. I’m looking to find out more about a distant family member for a friend. I really don’t have much information for a archive search but I was hoping it would be ok. His details I know are:

Name: James (?) Kavanagh
Place of birth: Dundee or Greenock

I know he served in WW1

Sorry if this is in the wrong place- mods please feel free and move this thread.

Many thanks,

Adam

I would suggest the Great war Forum or Rootschat.
