Hants title
I went to a small local Antiques Fair yesterday not really expecting to find anything and the few dealers with any militaria mostly had the usual overpriced rubbish.
However amongst all the stuff for sale I came across the attached small Hants title ,smaller than the usual pattern ,and not in Westlake. Lew Shotton has one on his Hampshire web pages which he identifies as an officers title. While not in collecting interests it is a good swop and I thought worth picking up. Seems it is still worth going to these small fairs, as long as you are not too hopefull, as occassionally there is the odd item worth having among the dross. P.B. |

Toby,
The Hampshire Regt was an 1881 amalgamation of the 37th and the 67th Foot. The Officer wore a badge derived from the North Hampshire's badge while the ORs wore the South Hampshire's badge. Alan |

Thanks Alan, interesting. Now you mention it I recall hearing that but it was many years ago and it had slipped my mind.
