RA officers gilt collars, no scroll
Hello Gunner collectors,
Can anybody tell me exactly who wore these collar badges in gilt. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pair-of-...l/153655922587 They were worn in bronze on service dress by Volunteer and Territorial artillery officers but I assume officers of these branches in No 1 Dress or No 3 Dress wore gold wire embroidered badges before full dress was abolished on the outbreak of the Great War. I do believe they were worn by officers of the Oxford University OTC artillery component between the two world wars, and by officers of the Malaysia Regiment of Artillery after the Second World War. Thanks in advance, Keith |

Keith,
In those days No. 1 and No.3 dress designations didnt exist here. Officers wore undress uniform or 'blues' and on those uniforms wore metal badges. The bullion grenades were found on full dress and Frock coats. I have always believed these were a version of TF officers undress collars. Other versions include blank scrolls, Laurel Leaf scrolls and UBIQUE scrolls. regards
