Default BEF & Navy

Hi Everyone.

I thought i'd say hello and introduce myself.

I'm Jason and i need some help identifying some medals.

My Grandfather was in the East Yorkshire Regiment and part of the BEF. He was rear guard in Dunkirk and only managed to make it back to the beach on June 1st 1940. This was confirmed by letters we had searching for his whereabouts and some of his unit said that they saw him heading towards the mole on Dunkirk beach but sadly he was missing, presumed killed in action.

My Uncle was in the Navy in the 1950's and i also have some of his medals from the Navy.

I wondered if i post some pictures, would anyone be kind enough to try and identify what they are?

Regards

Jason ... that is the Naval General Service Medal 1909 - 62, clasp 'Near East' which would indicate he was involved in the Suez landings. Approx. 17,800 of these medals with that clasp awarded.

Thanks - That's obviously my Uncle's as he was in the Navy in the 50's and 60's

I'll post pictures of some more tomorrow but they look like military fitness badges
