X1 Hussars (Roman Numerals) Shoulder Title
I have this X1 (11th) Hussars (Prince Alberts Own) Shoulder Title with Roman Numerals. Gilded.
It appears to be Theatre or Indian made going by the Lugs. I can only find Arabic numeral examples. It measures 40mm wide x 15mm Letters Can anyone give me more information on it please? Many thanks |

Can't really help but a joblot of badges/titles were sold by auction (Dix Noonan Webb) in Feb 2018 that included three XIH ones.

Thank you Mike.
Further than I got with my research. Shame the Lugs do not show, but the front looks very much the same. |

The lot sold for £420.00 (Estimate: £140 - £200) on 28th February 2018 , unfortunately that was the only photo they had.

Westlake quotes "2 Roman numeral versions exist both in cast brass. One has 1/2" long lugs for fitting to the shoulder chains.
11H is the only title listed in clothing regulations." Hope this helps. |
