Default S,O E. Please assist

Greetings all. I have this S.O.E. lapel badge which is numbered on the rear. I have read through the forums posts on the S O E and have only confused myself. At this point in time I think its a keeper. the diameter is 1cm. Many thanks Alf

That is a lapel badge for a merchant fleet shipping line with the initials SOE.

Its certainly not connected to the Special Operations Executive of WW2.

This is as Simon stated. There is a thread somewhere dedicated to this badge and the relevant organisation was identified. Certainly nothing to do with Special Operations Executive.
