Default 3 part construction Lancashire Fusiliers badge.

An unusual badge that I am unsure about. It consists of three parts. A cast back plate with a separate W/M scroll and a brass sphinx within a wreath, both of which are held on by metal pins. Only the two lugs are braised on, so in effect it could easily broken down into the component parts.

My first thought was that it was a poor quality Officer's badge but I now think that it might have been locally made in India. It may be an out and out fake.

I would welcome your thoughts.

Don't quite know what to make if it. It has Indian made characteristics for the most part and I am leaning towards that, as I don't think it is a fake per se.
