Default BCOF Base patch

hi all
just a quick question regarding the BCOF Base patch.
i have only ever seen the Right sided patch once that i can remember.
on a google search the majority of the pics show the Left sided patch as shown below. however, keith's book shows opposing patches.
why is one harder to find than the other?
was one of them worn on the slouch hat while the other on the sleeve?
thanks in advance

bugger
should have read Keith's book first before asking.
answered my own question.

anyway, have also been sent the orders for wear.
29, iV for the arm badge and 29, Vi for puggaree

so the question is who has a Right sided puggaree patch?

cheers

Default BCOF BASE patches

Would these be what you are talking about?
These appear to be a matching pair in all respects, apart from one (L) has been stitched on, and the other (R) unused.

Default BCOF Base

A quick thought, that Jon may be able to resolve: did formation signs get worn in different ways in the various Commonwealth contingents?
Could my badges be Canadian, NZ, Fijian or British as opposed to being Australian?

Stephen.
