Default Unknown red/black triangle

As picture, measuring 4cm across base, and 3cm for other lengths.

Too small for an Essex Regt WW1 flash.

Ideas please, Stephen

While I certainly don't know, I am guessing a Royal Artillery connection with the those colors arrangement....?

No, but is it black or dark blue? Hard to tell on the photo.
