Default RAF Navigator's Badge

Could anyone confirm my ID above for this badge, whether genuine or not and period of wear. I know nothing about cloth badges except they appear to be heavily faked. If genuine, I will be selling if any forum members are interested. Mike

From the photographs, I would have thought an original badge with some age to it, that appears to have been worn.

It's not so much they are faked, they were still issued up to 2003, and even when superseded by the Weapons Systems Officer/Operator wing, they were still permitted to be worn to the present.

This is a nice, padded wartime construction wing worn from its introduction on 17th September 1942, onwards.

Hi Frank and Padre. Many thanks for replies - good to know it's a good one and WW2! Will put it up in the classifieds. All the best, Mike
