Default QC Suffolk.

Hi All,
I have read just about everything that has been said about the bimetal QC Suffolk badge, on these forums. However, I've noticed that many dealers are asking more for one of these, than they are for an early KC badge that was, quite possibly, issued and worn, over 80 years ago. I have attached pics of a QC badge that I can buy for £5.75, post paid, I have compared this badge with numerous others on various dealers websites, where they would cost me, £12/£18, plus post, and they all seem identical, can someone explain to me what the difference is between these badges?

Smile QC Suffolk badges

As Leigh said, the price is the only difference, on the face of it Queens crown Suffolk badges should be scarcer than King's crown as from the time of wearing 1902-1953, 1953-1958, however, they turn up quite regularly in unused condition as they were supposedly never worn.

Dealer prices generally vary and some dealers probably have only had the odd one in their time of selling, whereas dealers in say East Anglia may have a lot in stock.

A comparison is sometimes helpful, I guess, does the attached badge look any different to the first one depicted?
