Hi.
I don’t like the slider, especially the way it is attached. The example I have, on the scroll there are a couple of brazing holes. However that said I am still learning myself.
Regards
Chris.

I have never seen an example like this one, either fake or genuine. Whilst I really don't know, I suspect it is bad. I am sure others will confirm.

I suspect a repro - the slider is especially horrid.

I have never seen a badge quite like this one, as Alex says the strike is crisp and Alan said the slider is horrid.

A badge I think I would not want on my LSH board.

I agree with Alex, the detail is really good. But I don't like the slider either.

Is it a one piece badge of yellow metal with the scroll plated or coated with a silver / grey colouring.
I have a Loyal Suffolkk Hussars badge of that construction with, I think, a tapered slider.
I'll dig it out.

Sharp eyes GriffMJ ! A detail I haven't noticed...I have just tried for half an hour to decipher this mark : " OttON" or "OllOU" or "10330" or whatever like that ???
The mark seems to have been punched twice, so it is even more difficult to read...
I will try tomorrow to read it with the day light.

Thanks to everyone inputs, very much appreciated !

Kind regards

(Picked up at Fitzwilliam Antiques, Peterborough I January 1995).
