Met with the chap who took the photo into the shop, he told me the following;
Chap in photo is TEDEAUS BIALECKI, his uncle, chaps nickname was TED. Married KAYE or KATE CLAYTON lived in a house after the war in Norwich ( the same road that i was born on). Ted was based at Horsham St.Faiths (NORWICH Airport). Ted and Kaye moved to PERTH AUS and did crop spraying till he died. Kaye moved back to Norwich. I will have to take more water with it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It seems as if 303 Squadron got his name wrong too. Or, more likely, a man with the same surname served in the squadron as well. The photo of Bronislaw BIALECKI does not look anything like the man in the the wedding photo above. BIALECKI could be a very common name, but why is "our" man not listed? http://www.polishsquadronsremembered...pilotlist.html It's sad that so few of these men both survived the was and got to go home to Poland.

My great uncle Ted
Hi all,
I'm delighted to have stumbled on this - the man in the picture is my great uncle and his wife, my great auntie Kay. Sadly she died three years ago but was a lovely woman. Could I ask where the picture came from, was it the ship with the badge? I'm a bit of a WW2 enthusiast so delighted to have found this forum |
