Default Collector's Guides

Hi Guys,

I'm in the process of producing a series of Australian badge collector's guides and check lists as ebooks (PDF versions and also Kindle versions) that will be sold for generally less the $10.

I'm going with the ebook format over traditional books as its much, much cheaper to produce and also means you can take it to gun and militaria shows etc as a reference on your iphone/ipad etc.

The first one that will be out will be on Australian Light Horse and Armoured badges from 1920 to 1942.

Please let me know if you would be interested - I'm keen to gauge the level of interest in these products that I am producing. Comments and suggestions welcome.

Regards,

Mick

Gday Mick,
how about a e-guide on Australian Home Front Badges like ARP, Civil Defence, SPF, CPF and similar organisations.
I also have a P.O Club Balmoral member badge and a RAAF Woomera FC member badge. I guess there would be 1000's in this category.

Sounds like a great idea, especially being able to refer to on ipads etc when at shows.

I am interested in the old badges from the 1800s and the world wars.

Long term plan is to eventually cover all periods.

How long that will take I don't know.

Hi Bill,

I will when I'm closer to launching this one.

I have the content in one format (pictures and text in sections for each regiment) but may move the pictures to the back of the ebook.

Here's a question - do you all prefer to see pictures together in one section at the back? Or have the pictures and text together for each regiment?

Mick

ps

I decided to go with ebooks only as its a reasonably quick and easier way (and much, much cheaper than publishing a book) to get content to collectors.

What a fantastic initiative! Also a lot handier at militaria shows than lugging Cossum's books around. Definitely pictures accompanying the text, especially on an eBook. Does anyone know when the next Cossum edition will hit the streets? I reckon you might beat him to the post Mick!
