25th Division Helmet

I bought this helmet from a car boot sale in Ascot, mid 1990s.
I've never known the meaning of the triangle. Any thoughts? Regards, Paul.

A lovely helmet Paul, no real idea on the red triangle other than it is perhaps a battalion sign.
