The first is a OR collar to the Hertfordshire Regt. The second is a silvered officer collar to the same regiment to my knowledge. The last is a OR collar to the Bedf. and Herts Regt. that once had the normal three lugs removed and a later 1950s era single lug attached.

I believe Keith was pointing out that forum rules clearly state any member using forum to identify, date, gather information on items intended for sale should state this in their first post on the subject.
See paragraph 8… https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/forum_rules.htm |

Look at my post and all my posts
If you're suggesting I have done something underhand I suggest you correct that notion and read my posts how many people creep around this forum taking information and sneaking off and dont contribute ? I contribute when I can and check my posts my recent one about the RFC changed collectors knowledge about the subject I've had this before, it makes no sense let me explain something to whoever wants to read it the owner is a pensioner in his 70s, its his hobby it keeps him active there are a few of us that assist him He focuses on buttons because theres very little chance of selling something that's a fake and hes removed a badge some years ago because a forum memer used it to criticise him, what a hero he was He respects the collecting area he knows what fakes are doing he knows theres a lot of arguments about what is and isnt a fake so he just avoids the area to avoid selling someone something not right I do my best to try and find information I dont just ask without having searched myself If members want younger members to enter this collecting area stop with the 'I'm not telling' sharing knowledge keeps this alive Offended ? Dont care my position is clear and this cloak and dagger approach is BS Want to pick on a pensioner you go for it !!!! |

Why not just mention that the items will be sold when you post asking for info about them?
I don't give a hoot whether or not they're for sale, some do, it takes no effort to simply state they'll be for sale and then everyone's happy? |

Just mention the for sale/ possibly for sale aspect when a threads posted, simples, job done. Or ask the moderators to remove the requirement to do so. |

Quite the overreaction Tarabelle.
Really I only read posts which interest me so no I’ve not really read many of yours, certainly none mentioning helping this gentleman. Pick on a pensioner?… Please stop drinking Putin’s coffee or whatever you had before writing that post. As Leigh says either 1) just say - not mine, owner may or may not sell (to avoid any confusion) or 2) ask the Admin/Mods to change the rules The rules at present are clear and I do not believe they cover that you stated months ago on another thread your relationship with a seller re ID-ing items. Have a nice evening. |
