Default X (Ten) Para flash

A pick up from recent times, early example I think, though not sure on exact dating.

Default 10 Para DZ Flash

This version was being worn by 10 Para in 1976 when they were in 44 Bde. I never got one as they were in very short supply and when new stocks arrived 1976/77 they were rubbish printed ones that faded very quickly.

Thanks. I had thought it was earlier than the 70's, but that is why I asked.

Default 10 PARA(V) DZ flash

When I was with 10 PARA in the early 1980s the type of DZ flash which started this thread was again on issue. The colours on the cheap screen-printed version issued during the late 1970s washed out easily and it tore easily, so it was often backed with a form of very thin white vinyl, but they were never popular. The type shown in the first post was used throughout the 1980s. The issue version had a black backing. A copy, with a white backing, could be bought from DuBoras in Aldershot and was also worn within the unit. This DZ flash was worn until the bigger merrowed-edge woven version was adopted when DZ flash sizes were standardised when 5th Airborne Brigade came into being.

Showing slight manufacturer's variations to the above badge, is this still basically the "same badge" from the same era?
The sheen on the back is from a glue or sizing.
