The Biggest Dig
On BBC2 tonight featured a piece about die pressing and stamping carried out in Birmingham in the late 1800’s. Well worth a watch on the iPlayer if only to see what a dangerous trade it was (and Alice Roberts of course).

I don't know about the coffin plates (they looked v interesting) but I catalogued all the coins - none v interesting.

Yes, nothing earlier than the late 18th century - but I'm supposed to know everything about every coin (a bit like badge collectors)!
I also remember seeing the Fattorini building there - still a thriving business. |

I have some Roman I have to identify for a friend, nightmare that ancient rubbish, being all flashy and writing in Latin, no sensible Arabic numerals for the date, what more can I say
