1st Gurkha boss badge
A boss badge to the 1st Gurkhas that i was watching sold for 480 GBP on ebay yesterday. I guess one of our Gurkha collectors got it. I know there's no logic to these things but was that not a lot for a boss badge or was it a ultra super rare badge?

Hi Khyber - I started a thread on this badge ( under fairs and sales ) - it was a rare badge used only for a few years before WW1 - but even so I was shocked at the price it went for ( especially as it was on the wrong boss ) - but as other members pointed out if two collectors really want something then a badge is worth what people will pay for it. I have an example in my album on the correct scarlet boss - but I bet if I were to list it now it wouldn't go for anything like that price ( not intending to by the way !)
