Default South Staffords 70th division

First picture is of the box as found and the rest are self explanatory, however i've just seen a quote stating that the 70th division red star 'probably never worn on the uniform'. Is that still the case and if so what is the slip on i have ?

Great find. Not sure where your information on the sign not being worn came from but it was worn in India by 70th Division although as the division was disbanded in Oct/Nov 1943 it's a rare piece.
