Default Norfolk Regiment Economy Lambourne

Has anybody got an economy all brass Norfolk Regiment with the Lambourne makers mark? Ive seen the restrike mr punch types that are awful but I’m sure I’ve seen a genuine one before, unless I dreamt it.

Ive never seen an all GM issue badge from the Lambourne die but as you say have seen numerous ‘Mr Punch’ fakes with fake Lambourne marks.

This thread may be of interest re Lambourne made badges https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ight=Lambourne .

The list was compiled with the help of two experienced collectors with advanced Lambourne collections and included badges they owned and had categorically seen and were sure were genuine. As you can see the 1916 GM is not on the list for the Norfolks.

Never say never of course but I’m inclined to believe they do not exist.

You had me all excited there!

I am yet to see a Norfolk 1916 all GM and as already mentioned, I do not believe it exists. That being said, I am very keen to be proved wrong.

Are you referring to never having seen a Norfolk Regiment economy or never having seen a Lambourne one (I suspect the latter)?

Oops, yes, never seen a Lambourne! I should have been a little clearer.

So far I have only found three different strikes of Norfolk Regiment 1916 all GM badges.

The third example certainly does appear to have been quite well worn.
