A cast copy that's all, may be theatre made who knows. Looks ok imho.

I'd expect an officer's badge to be much better than that although there were some cheap and ropey ones made, at best as said theatre made imo.

Kings Liverpool officers collar also worn in cap badge, similar 'cheap and ropey'.

Slight possibility that it was made to be worn by Queen’s Royal Irish Hussars pipers on a green shamrock backing on the saffron kilt. There is a similar but lesser quality example in Irishhorse album https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ctureid=175270

I disagree with those being ‘cheap and ropey’ I have a pair from the Gaunt archives. Strange method of manufacture I’ll admit, mine have no fixings.

I think £93+ is a bit too rich for me, for that money I'd want a good one!
