Default Forage cap for ID

Seen at a fair today, Kick myself for not taking a picture, forage cap very dark blue or black with green headband , thin red line running centrally around headband , black peak, Puts you in the mind of the ones worn by cav and yeo just after turn of century, cant find it in the MHS Imp yeo book, any ideas? Kevin

I saw this cap and looked at it with RTA-phil2m. It had General service buttons, which doesn't help much I know.

It's a shame I missed you. perhaps next time?

The closest match I have to that is the South Irish Horse circa 1903-14..... below the thin red line there is a thin green and then red below if that makes sense....... the welt of the top edge of the Cap is red also.

I have a good number of image referenced Yeomanry Peaked Forage caps dating from 1900-14 and the SIH is the nearest to the one you have displayed above....

Thanks Guys, my gut feeling was also yeomanry ,i was hoping suffolk as the colours are right but not as displayed, Hope to meet up soon, I was in a bit of a rush as had two of my children with me.
