49TH WEST RIDING RECCE BADGE
From the appearance this badge has been chrome plated, as to whether this is an original badge, I would not like to say. I have never seen one of these chrome plated. The rose is cut into the badge which is a good sign of an original item. Maybe a Yorkshire or REECE collector could confirm this chrome as an original feature,

Yes, this badge does appear to be chrome plated. The style of the badge looks fine. I haven't come across a chrome 49th before, although I can see no reason why some wouldn't have had their badges chromed for wear 'walking-out'. Les.
