Queens Birthday Parade
Whilst watching the parade this morning I was surprised to see that the Major I/C Kings Troop RHA, a female officer, was wearing a full dress RA Sabretache.
As these were abolished exactly 120 years ago I was pleasantly surprised to see it worn. Has it always been worn by the RHA and I have just not noticed or is it something new? regards

The one on show certainly looked very new, they must have just copied an original without regard to the correct Crown? regards

He came out with the Queen's party and left with them.
One thing did confuse me , he did not salute when the Queen stepped down from the dias (but did salute when the colours passed) and she did not stop and talk to him. .

HM appointed an officer from the RM as her Equerry at the tail-end of last year (which would tie in with the aiguillette he is wearing).
