Battery Badges worn in 40th Field Regt RA
These badges were worn by members of the batteries in 40th Field Regiment RA., during Gulf War I (1990-1991) only. They have not been worn since. The various examples found on dealers lists have been remade since the event for the dealers and collectors (unles you got the badge from the battery).
10 (Assaye) Air Defence Battery RA. 38 (Seringapatam) Field Battery RA. 137 (Java) Field Battery RA. 129 (Dragon) Field Battery RA. During Gulf War II (2003) the Battery Commander of 129 (Dragon) Battery RA decided that the members of his party and the FOOs parties should wear a desert version of the Battery badge. None of the 150 badges arrived in time, it was later in June 2003 that the badge was worn by those members of the battery who had served in the Gulf. There are a few other current conflict badges still to come. Last edited by 54Bty; 09-02-22 at 05:27 PM. |
