Default Green Howards Error Badge

Is the Green Howards error badge (Kings Crown) only a WW2 cap badge? It wasn't made after the war as well?

Also is this an original example?

Yes it's original. I don't have dates of manufacture but they were made in large numbers.

The 1944 plastic version which replaced it had the correct coronet.

Excuse my ignorance, but is the badge in question an error because of the crown?
I do have one exactly the same as the badge shown.
What should the badge be like?
Most interesting

This is the correct version with the Princesses' coronet.

Thank you Alan O. for your help.

So if I want a 100% WW2 era cap badge, the plastic type would be the way to go?

Is there any problems with the plastic cap badges deteriorating? I've seen quite a few warped para badges, but I'm not sure if its just a manufacturing flaw or time itself causing it.

Thanks!

The one you show in the opening post is your best bet for a genuine WW2 cap badge for the Green Howards.

What about this version? The Crown is not pierced.

It looks like a genuine WW2 example to me. The slider is attached in such a way as to preclude a pierced crown.
