Apologies... should have stated at the outset.
The only image I have ever seen of this badge shows it being worn on the Service jacket, by a London TF man, circa WW1. I am not in a position to reproduce the image here unfortunately, as I do not own it, hence the dodgy representation in the OP. With thanks, JT |

Many thanks for going to the trouble of posting your photo. I appreciate it is a little problematic discussing the badge/photo I refer to without actually being able to see it. That said, would you have any theories as to why it might have been worn on the breast by the infantryman concerned, assuming it is the exact same badge? Thanks again, JT |
