It says he landed on Utah Beach, thats a long way from Douvres-la-Delivrande?

Even the Wikepedia entry puts the Douvres-la-Delivrande operation into context. But if you have access to it, see The Commandos 1940-1946 (Charles Messenger) - p 274 gives a very different version of events - the 30 Cdo det, Pikeforce, had been withdrawn from the area of Douvres-la-Delivrande - "...had been standing by to investigate it (the radar) on its capture, had been ordered not to take part and had consequently moved across to join the rest of the Commando , which was operating with the Armericans..."
