First thought J..... Fleet Auxiliary Service ?
British was RFAS but was there a Joint Fleet Auxiliary Service Cap badge looks like Free French Naval Forces. .

Going by her outfit and the location I would say she was either a bus driver or a clippie who was employed by the local bus operator John Fishwick and Sons.

What makes you think it's an anchor badge?. The top of the badge is buried in the hat and what is on show only appears to be an anchor. It could well be her PSV disc or a brooch of some sort. The lettering on her coat and the location the photo was taken at is enough to convince me.

Vonschell, if you go to a site called "Old Bus Photos" and post the photo on there I am sure they would help you out. You never know, they might even come up with a name.
