Royal engineers Militia badge
Hi all
Just wondering how the M was fixed on these badges? Was it brazed or pin typ attachment. Thanks in advance Bc |

Hello Bc,
Here's a RA Militia badge missing its 'M'. Note the small perforation, whether for a pin fixing or a braze hole, I don't know. Tony.

I posted one on the forum a while ago and was told it was fake because it wasn't pinned.

I have several RE badges with the "M" over 3 reigns and they are both pinned and brazed.

Although you find GVI RE cap badges, I am not sure that RE Militia units would have existed post 1908 other than the Monmouthshires who retained the militia title.
