Default Help Identifying Armoured / Cavalry Releated badges

Hello there.

Happy New Year to you all.

Could I get some help identifying the badges shown in the attached pictures.

There is a Tank Corps collar badge in there, but I don't know what any of the others are.

Thanks,
Piers.

Pic1, top right lances - don't look like British Army cavalry items to me.
Not my area, but the various 'tanks' (apart from the 'Recce' one) look
like arm badges of one sort or another. I am sure the AC guys will
recognise them.

The "RECCE" tank looks more like the US-made M-24 Chaffee than anything else I can think of. This tank saw limited service in the British Army, but did equip the Recce Tps of units in NWE including 5 DG and 8H.

The crown with the lion on top looks like Extra Regimentally Employed personnel. David

Good afternoon Piers,

The gilding metal armoured car in the middle picture is a 1st Class Tradesmans Armoured Car arm badge worn by members of the 9th/12th Royal Lancers (Prince of Wales's) on the lower right fore arm on a black backing. It was certainly being worn in the regiment when I visited them in the 1980's.

All good wishes,

Peter

I think the second (armored car) is the cap badge for the 1st Australian Armored Car Regt, pre WWII, the third picture features the brass tank on top that has been argured over for years..some say WWI, others WWII. Good luck with this one.
