South Wales Borderers Bandsman Uniform chevron
Hello,
Can anyone help with explaining the significance of the Chevron on the left forearm of my father's bandsman uniform please? The photo was taken whilst he was serving in India, around 1937-1938 I think. Any help much appreciated. |

Without seeing the photo, I sounds like it is a good conduct badge (stripe).
See this for reference. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Conduct_stripe CB

As CB thought , the picture shows the Good Conduct Chevron being worn.
