To repair, not to repair? That is the question
I was very lucky to find this lovely Edward 7th, Norfolk Yeomanry cap badge last weekend. It has a period repair to reattach the crown. As you can see from the pictures it is quite crude and is very obvious. My question is should I leave the badge as is and keep as original or should I have it repaired? DM

Lovely badge. Since it's a period repair, I would just leave as is!

Period repair, 100% leave, well I would.

I presume it is lead solder, best left alone.

It would hurt to clean the solder up a bit

Thanks for the advice, I will leave it alone. Personally I feel its part of the badges history and charm. I consider myself very fortunate to find it. DM
