Default AIRBORNE CLOTH TITLE

Hi folks

Two......most probably stupid questions so please forgive me.

1. Is this a repro it doesn't have the usual spaghetti back?
2. Who was entitled to wear this?

Cheers
Sean

Default Airborne

Sean,
Looks like an 80s -90s copy to me.

Hi,
Yes reproduction for me :
-the back of the title has nothing to do with WW2 manufacturing
-from what I can see embroidery threads are synthetic

Sean, this is a copy indeed.
As for who was entitled to wear these airborne curved titles, I believe they were introduced very early after the creation of the parachute forces in a printed format. It seems they were continued to be worn in the embroidered version throughout the war by staff and HQ members of the Airborne Divisions.

the title was also worn by other Airborne personnel, not just staff and HQ .
