Irish Guards (apparently found in France)
Something about this doesn't feel 'right'.
Not sure if it's the Queens Crown, from an era under a sovereign King, or the lack of lugs- or trace of lugs.... I accept I don't know everything, and that everyday is a school day...I would appreciate your thoughts; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122550510746

The badge represents the Star of the Order of St. Patrick and the crowns are those used since it was created in 1783 and have not changed.
Its too large for a cap badge and could be a Pipers Caubeen badge or a Valise badge. However, I am unsure it is even genuine. regards

Except, there is a K/C and a Q/C version of each.

Could you show examples of an Irish Guards headdress badge where the central George the Third crowns of the Order of St. Patrick have been replaced with Kings Crowns or Queens Crown please.
regards
