Question Household Cavalry Accoutrament Badge

Good day folks

Can you help with this badge please. It has been discussed in the Mystery Badge section and a thought was that it might be related to the Household Cavalry.

It is slightly vaulted and has three lug fittings - top, east and west. The lugs have been slightly flattened and it has been polished suggesting that it has been worn and used but on what? There appears to be the remnants of a gilt wash in the lower areas.

It is 2.5 inches from the top to the central point of the scroll and 3.25 inches at the widest point.

Any thoughts?

Many thanks

James

Both of the mounted regiments of the Household Cavalry continue to where a small black leather pouch with a GM Royal Cypher on it.

I dont know if this is such a bage but it is very similar?
