Hi Martin, and welcome to the forum. You have come to right place to find out anything about badges.
To attach a picture, click the little paper clip from the toolbar at the top of the 'reply' option, 'Browse' to find your jpeg on your computer and click 'upload'. Simple as that. |

thaks for your kind comments im not sure if i have attached ok. the guys name is MCKEE, he was originally from scotland but he must have moved about for the photo to have been taken in plymouth. i printed out a copy of the pic and drew round the collar badge and it seemed to resemble a cat or lion. look forward to your expertise. thanks martin

Having had a look, I am going to suggest another animal, a sheep. Is it the Paschal Lamb of the Queens Roayl Regiment, West Surrey? It is certainly a largish looking beast.

the mystery is solves, originally he was in the KOSB and then transfered to the GORDON HIGHLANDERS, and from the regimental history it shows that they were in plymouth on the dates when the photos were taken. i have looked at some other old photos on line of old uniforms of the GH and the badge on the collar is the same. so thanks to you all for pointing me in the right direction

Hi martin,
Hopefully PJ or another with the research facility will be able to offer you further help regarding you enquiry. With reference to your KRRC badges. There was a recent enquiry from thr KRRC association regarding badges. Please see the following link and links from that thread for more info. You may find that you have something a bit special (and it may also explain why the association currently don't seem to have a clue). I have tried to contact them offering to help with their research and have some info that they may find useful but no answer as yet. I for one would welcome pictures of your KRRC badges and I expect I am not alone! http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ht=krrc+badges Yours in anticipation. Ry |
