Default Colonial Police Force (African).

I have a set of photographs of Colonial Africa in which a party of British Officials are visiting remote settlements. In one or two of the photographs a cap badge is visible, but not particularly clearly.

My first thoughts are that it may be the Gold Coast Police, but I am not sure. Any thoughts would be welcome.
