Default Alberta Mounted Rifles authentic?

I picked this one up at the Calgary show, but I am not 100% sure on it being authentic, what are your opinions?
Has this badge ever been known to have reproductions?
This could just be one of those badges someone has thrown in a tin and totally forgot about.

Hi Mike, That is a very scarce badge. The flat style lugs and finish are consistent with an early post FWW badge. It is awfully "new" looking, but as you say, it may just have been in a tin, untouched for years.

I think the unique die & antiqued finish makes that version an officers' pattern. It's a good badge - nice find.

The lugs in my opinion look bang on, it is just too nice looking, been looking for this pattern for a while. Tanya Ursual sold it to me so it was a well respected seller. She brought lots of rare Western badges to the show, Boer war LDSH, South Alberta Horse, etc.
