Default Formation badge - probably an easy one!

Can anyone identify this formation badge? Probably an easy one for most. I thought it was one of the 21st Army / BAOR badges but I can't find it. It was in the effects of a highish ranking RAF officer.

Thanks.

Thank you Mike and Engr

That's interesting, and indicates that the badge might have been worn by a son or something. In the same Lot was a 21st Army HQ/BOAR Occupying Forces formation sign, being of similar design, but the officer in question was part of the occupying Force in 1948. He had retired by the time the RAOC sign had come out.

Interesting to see another identical example too. Having the rounded base I wondered if it had been trimmed from a more 'shield' shape.

Many thanks to both of you, one for the spares box!
