Default Infantry Demonstration Battalion Again!

Hi all. Further to my Last post on the Infantry Demonstration Battalion Warminster, Thought I would share my latest acquisition, a postal cover commemorating their disbandment in 1982. It came with a mint IDB flash and a card with the battalions history!

Could anyone however identify the badges on the cover surrounding the flash! I am assuming they are division or brigade signs, not individual Infantry cap badges? Thought it might be nice to frame the cover and card, with the flash surrounded by the actual badges, if I can find them!

Tony

The badges represent the infantry admin divs of the time plus Paras and Ghurkas.
Cap badges aren't necessarily shown, but crests too.

Default Infantry Demonstration Battalion Again!

Great info, cheers. Of the Scottish, Kings, Guards, Queens, Prince of Wale's and Light divisions, are there any known cloth patches/flashes for them?

You could represent them by using a variety of cap and other badges, eg Guards Trained Soldier badge, the short lived Queens Division recruits cloth beret badge, the Kings Division band badge, Light Infantry and Para Regt cap badges etc.

No cloth badges for the LI. The only cloth is the shoulder worn on the brassard in Bosnia
