unknown patch help please
hi all
just wondering what this patch is? its silk and probably made in Japan circa early 1950s thanks in advance bc |

Very similar of the designs on Indian army Brigade/Divisional badges. They still use the press studs today.

Ah, there you go. Just a suggestion. I was lucky enough get a whole load of current Indian army insignia and they are a smilar type of design.
The silk material might suggest something locally made. Not hugely my area of knowledge I'm afraid. You need to hope Mike Jackson logs in! The collective knowledge of members here is astounding. All the very best Bess Al |

At first glance, I was thinking Italian. Can't find a match in my reference books.
If Korea era, might be a one off, sort of like Canadian soldiers getting bullion parachute qualification wings made for their best bush dress while on leave in Japan. Just a thought. Ian

what a mystery. it does have the 3 press studs on the rear suggesting it was made to be worn and probably on a flight suite cheers bc |
