Default Royal Naval Reserve Dentist Shoulder boards

This is a matching left and right pair of shoulder boards to a commander with salmon pink distinctions. The buttons are the correct long shanked type with the letters embossed to the front.
It is interesting to note that these have the King mentioned on the rear. The aglets on the tips of the ties are metal. Overall an early pair of shoulder boards from the 1952 period made after the R came into force and before the change in Monarch (although the makers Gieves could have been using up old stock).
Maybe of more interest to someone else?
Barry

Default RNR Dentist Shoulder Boards

Morning Barry

Salmon pink was the distinction colour for Wardmasters. The colour for dentists is orange - which these are.

Also the buttons show RNV not RNR, so are for an officer in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.

Thanks for the these points.
Yes they are an orange.
The 1938 DR say that Ward masters were maroon in colour.
Did they change at some point?

Changed to salmon-pink in 1951.
