Thanks Bill, I am aware of that site, but I also have this from the fellow I bought some tartan from. This is why I ask he question. I have also been in touch with the Perth Hg Regt Museum, but they didn't know ad thought I was referring to a British Regt - the 73rd Perthshires.
"The Perth badge is worn with the tartan at the intersection of the more complicated blue/dk. blue cross. Douglas is also used for some other badges but they use the intersection of the two white lines. Some others may simply order Douglas tartan thinking it’s going to be right and get the white cross one. " Bill, we've been chatting about this and think we'd both like to know for sure. I am just wanting to find something finite and my searches on line bring up other Canadian Scottish regts. so I've gotten no where there. I think we need a vintage/genuine picture showing what was worn, but haven't found one yet. Terry |

I too was confused first (did not see this was in the Canadian section). I think partly because the name of the regiment is Pert Regiment. The word Highlanders never ever being used in the designation..

Henk,
Yes, I see, - Thank You! I incorrectly assumed "Highlanders" was part of their title. due to their badge and the tartan backing. Terry |
